AKIKO MURAKAMI
Producer
Akiko is a graduate of Keio University in
Tokyo with a Bachelor of Laws. She joined a TV production company,
Daiei TV-Film, where she produced six prime time TV shows for the
major networks in Japan.

ZACH HORTON
Writer/Director
Raised in
the small Northern California town of Ukiah, Zach has always been
fascinated with open vistas, mild insanity, and protracted interpersonal
space. He has studied Philosophy and Creative Writing at Oxford University,
and recently earned BAs in both Visual Arts (Media) and Philosophy
at UC San Diego. He was a 2002 recipient of the national Princess
Grace
Film Award for his short film work.

MIA CHO
Production designer
Mia Cho is a graduate of the
University of Canterbury, New Zealand, with a B.F.A. in Film. She
has chosen
to focus her broad talents on Production Design at the American
Film Institute, and was recently awarded the Judy March Endowed
Scholarship. She is Korean and a New Zealander.

JAMES WEST
Cinematographer James earned a BFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago and
won the School Faculty Prize for Photography at graduation. In Chicago,
he made a living as a still photographer for almost ten years while
exhibiting photographs in galleries around the country. Before attending
the American Film Institute, James photographed numerous short films
as well as an independent feature.

RITA DaSILVA
Editor
Rita is from Portugal. She worked as a professional
ballet dancer for six years before entering NYU’s Tish School
of the Arts where she graduated with a BFA in Film and Television.
Prior to her studies at the American Film Institute, she was working
in Europe as an Assistant Editor. Her short film “ROUTE 31”,
which she directed, wrote, and edited, won Second prize at the
1999 BRNO International Film Festival (Czech Republic) and was
screened at the “Festival du Cinema International” (Canada).
